    While not mentioned in the listing, this shagreen IS polished which ended up being a nice surprise. Fortunately it isn't excessively glossy to a point of having that somewhat more "synthetic" appearance like many dyed and polished rayskin hides can have; so overall I'm quite pleased - especially considering how affordable it was! Absolutely perfect for a samegawa on the blade project I'm working on. I may buy 1 or 2 more yet for some future projects... Everything is perfect, A+++. Thank you!
