Because it was to be a gift I wanted the original Princess House box. Unfortunately, I couldn't get the shipping label off without damaging the box. When I opened the box I saw that the item was new (Princess House label on bowl). However, the bowl was covered in dust with dried drips on the side and inside the bowl.
