They were obviously not new as the inner sole had been removed, cut off and only the heel portion of the sole was replaced into the boot. This was clear just by looking into the boot without even trying them on. Thankfully I had craft foam and created new inner soles. Shipping was quick. Originally I thought the price was fair, but without an inner sole included I overpaid. She likes them as they look like described. Packaged well.
