Hello and thank you for the positive feedback. Your hat shipped from where I am in Texas all the way to you in New York, so really since I had flat rate shipping it would have been much higher if you shipping was calculated based on the large box, weight and distance shipped. Actual cost would have been over $40 and that's why I do flat rate to save my buyers some on shipping cost, especially when you are far from TX.

When I researched this figurine there were two others for sale just like it-both stated "made in occupied Japan" and had "made in Japan" on the base-same as mine shows in the listing photos.
I am not an expert in vintage porcelain figurines and rely on research information like this to verify.
