      I bought a BIOS chip for my motherboard (P5Q Pro Turbo). The idea was to have the chip ready in case I would ever need it, as a backup plan. After inserting the chip, the motherboard didn't POST. The display didn't turn on and there were no beep codes. Resetting the BIOS (jumper and battery) didn't solve this. I returned the chips to the seller and he refunded me. I will consider this seller if I ever need BIOS chips again.
