It connects to your phone via BT and displays info on screen. You can use your phone's map to get directions. After pairing device with my phone I haven't been able to get it to transmit sound to my helmet. I am missing something. The instructions are not very useful either and are printed in very small type so you need a magnifying glass to read it. The image quality is great. Very hi def.
