It is simply not capable of doing the same thing in both places. It DOES work properly/perfectly, but would suggest that someone in overseas purchase, OR, wire up an outlet and get an adapter that makes it heat up to the proper temperature, or deal with it being at half capacityThis does work and does heat up but does not get very hot. I have an adapter plug to sell with it, not pictured. see photos for details and measurements. has a very small hole in the back from a wear spot/rub. has some marks/wear overall but seems to be in excellent condition overall. back of the plug part on the mat is cracked.”
