My Makita type batteries fit well and I did about 20 mins strimming on a half charged 3AH battery which did not go flat. Plastic blades are strong enough for my tasks - not sure when I would use the steel ones, as these would slice down small shrubs and saplings easily.

Will happily consider buying again in the future, good value compared to OEM.
