I bought these as an experiment.
Vintage Tri-ang 00/HO model train coach/freight bogies were originally connected to the car bodies with steel or brass eyelets/rivets. Even though replacement eyelets/rivets can be bought, I have yet to find a proper setting tool because a lot of force is required to set the eyelet/rivet correctly and so I bought these as an experiment.
These Chicago screws do the job perfectly, albeit about 3mm too long so I will need to buy them in 12mm length.
