I tested the installed batteries and found neither had a usable charge and 1 battery was slightly separated. I installed my own batteries and charged overnight. The handset now functions. I contacted the seller for a resolution. I requested that 2 dollars be refunded to cover the cost of 2 of the cheapest batteries on Amazon.
