About this product
Product Information
There have been hundreds of years of peace amongst humankind, but in the 31st century, conflict has erupted. The two great political parties are debating over who should get to choose a successor to the recently deceased President of the World. Finally a solution is decided: each party will send one representative to play the game of Robo-Squash. The winning player earns his team the right to the presidency.

Starting with Pong-style video tennis gameplay, Robo-Squash adds a third dimension, a storyline and power-ups. The sports arena is an enclosed tunnel with a paddle at each end. Using 2D graphics, the game gives players the feeling of viewing a tunnel in a 3D perspective. Players watch the game from one end of the tunnel, controlling the paddle closest to them. The opposing CPU or human player controls the paddle at the bottom of the screen.

Players can choose from 16 balls laid out in a square with each one corresponding to a stage, and they must play them all in the course of the game. To win the stage, players must either force their opponent to miss the ball three times, or hit the marker that appears after all tiles in the middle of the tunnel have been destroyed. After all 16 stages are complete, the side with the highest score wins. Score is calculated throughout the rounds, with winning players earning more points. At the end of the game, points are also awarded for two-, three- or four-in-a-row ball formations.
