Miele tumble dryer sensor brushes arrived quickly. They were slightly thicker than the originals I removed, (maybe 1mm or so) but while they are a slightly tighter fit they are in and working fine. Perhaps the increase in thickness was intended to extend the life span. Anyway, the thumping noise has gone and the sensor drying function is working.
