cancelled order and issued refund but did not have the courtesy to contact me with a specific reason for the cancellation. ebay's message of damaged or out of stock does not provide me with clarification

Buyer taught this 76 year old eBayer a lesson. I was nor aware I was required to give a reason for canceling an order when I screwed up and listed an item for sale twice. A complete explanation would have been appropriate. Again I am sorry for my error
