This vintage item was described in the listing as new, and since it's intended as a birthday gift I went over it with a fine-toothed comb. I found residue on several of the contacts indicating that it probably has been used at one time. While there is reason to suppose that the item is not brand-spanking new as listed, it's still in excellent condition. It could also also be argued that it was misrepresented by the previous owner, so I'll give the current Seller the *benefit of the doubt.*
