There is, we feel, glaze craze evident on the base of the tea pot but the same lines do not seem to be within the glaze internally (but of course, as these items are ‘eggshell’ porcelain and translucent, you will of course be able to see the shadow cast by the lines if you look through the base whilst holding the item up to the light. Our examination has been carried out by placing the base on a surface and using illumination and magnification to view the base glaze internally). One cup appears to have a slight variation of design but we are unable to state whether this is a replacement or as it left the maker’s. Decoration is in very good condition with good depth of gold. An approximate 1mm in diameter spot of rub has been observed on the internals of one of the gold lined cups! Please raise any questions PRIOR to purchase or making an offer. Please view the photos provided for additional clarification of condition.”
