The built-in resistor makes it easy to replace any bulb using between 5 and 13.8 volts. One caveat.. These are rated at up to 15 volts. I bench tested some of these at the maximum 15 volts and they did not last more than 24 hours. At 13.8 volts I have not had any failures in over 2 weeks of solid testing! Limit your voltage to 13.8 and they will last!
