Air quality sensor was either a dud or they are all worthless counterfeits possibly. Either way, I wasted a few weeks cutting into my wiring harness and even replacing my HVAC module thinking the sensor was good. Finally bought a used Volkswagen sensor and the fault cleared.
Seller tried to explain some chip incompatibility nonsense, bla bla bla... The sensor can be tested outside of the car with a battery and an oscilloscope, which I did.
