The carvings and finish looked consistent across both the white and black pieces. I used a digital scale to weigh each piece individually looking for outliers / consistency issues. The pawns ~25g (both colors), the bishops ~39g (white) / ~39g & ~42g (black) [worst difference in the set @ 3g], the rooks ~40g (both colors), the knights ~54g (white) / 56g & 58g (black), Queens ~56g (both colors, all 4), king ~60g (white) / ~58g (black). Overall, these are a nice set of chess pieces out of the box.

Bad experience with this seller. I will not buy again. I have received a faulty chess set with a lot of variation in the hue of the white pieces. I accepted a partial refund but it does not compensate and also the seller does not want to replace the defective pieces anymore. He accepted that I send him photos to find a solution but he still hasn t answered the last emails. I should have given a negative assessment just for this. I do not recommend it.
