Seller Notes: “Scarce Australian wartime pulp issue published in 1944. 123 pages. Original stapled vintage pulp ... “Scarce Australian wartime pulp issue published in 1944. 123 pages. Original stapled vintage pulp paperback. 8 inches by 5.5 inches. Binding sound and square, no rust to staples. Wear, tear and loss to covers and spine, front cover partially detached (see pictures). Internally clean, leaves toned as usual with poor-quality wartime pulp paperstock. Wear to page edges, with no text loss. A rare survival. Invincible Press was founded in 1944 by Ezra Norton (1898-1967), proprietor of the Truth and Sportsman newspaper group, which included the Sydney Daily Mirror. It specialised in cheap comics, thrillers and mysteries. This book was issued under the "Truth and Sportsman" imprint, in the same year that the first Invincible Press titles appeared.”
