From your photo, we noticed that the arrestor was incorrectly connected to the water tap on the wall. It should be connected directly to the back of the washing machine/dishwasher, as per the product installation instructions. This adjustment will improve the function of the arrestor by immediately absorbing the water hammer created by the solenoid before it propagates.
