If I were evaluating its cosmetic condition objectively as “just an old guitar”, it would be graded “poor” because it shows wear from being played and repaired:1. The neck has been reset.2. The neck joint is messy.3. There are lots of scratches, scrapes, nicks, worn spots, etc. on it.4. It plays good but not absolutely great because of the neck reset (can be done again if you desire to do it).And if I were to evaluate it subjectively, I would rate it in “excellent” condition based on:1. It smells “good old”. As you expect a well-played almost 60-year guitar to smell.2. Its sound is incredible. All electronics work well and produce that “McCartney” thump that we first heard on “I Want to Hold Your Hand” but with more depth because the pickups on this guitar are the “black bar” pieces that just seem to resonate more in the hollow body. And I believe the rosewood fretboard adds to the depth of sound”
