Original publisher's green pictorial cloth gilt with beautiful design by T Sturge Moore. 110 pages. Blue-green endpapers. In very attractive condition, with just a little light bumping to the corner-tips and spine-ends, and slight dulling to the boards (see pictures). Binding sound and square. Pencilled initials "C V T" and "G W" to title page (see pictures). A very nice example of the scarce first printing. Yeats believed The Tower to be his greatest work, and he was probably correct. The collection includes "Sailing to Byzantium" and "Leda and the Swan", surely two of the best poems in the English Language.”
