It was deader than a doornail when I received the headband. Luckily, we had LR44 1.5-volt button batteries on hand that I could insert to make it work. If you order this item, make sure you have LR44 batteries because it probably won't light up without replacing them, and you will need a Phillips small head screwdriver to access the battery compartment.
