Seller Notes: “Here is a superb quality antique English Victorian mahogany office chair, with a revolving ... “Here is a superb quality antique English Victorian mahogany office chair, with a revolving mechanism, which has been newly upholstered in green distressed leather, boasting a stunning rich colour, circa 1880, in excellent condition. The chair frame has been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the finish, colour and patination are of an excellent standard. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges of the chair frame, but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The original revolving cast iron mechanism is in excellent working order, having been stripped down, cleaned and serviced. There is some play to the mechanism, but this is perfectly acceptable, and in line with the age of the chair, and will be found in all office chairs of this age. The shaped legs terminate on solid brass and castors, which are in good condition. The chairs are well constructed, solid in joint and ready to use.”
