Important (irreplaceable) parts of the set were scratched, two parts missing, one substitute for an original part that didn't work, two parts were broken, and a coat thread substituted for one of the synthetic ropes.
Overall I feel that the seller misrepresented the condition sufficiently to doubt the quality of anything else in their store.
However, many of the parts and minifigures were like-new despite the age of the set, and other irreplaceable parts like the sails were in good order.
