Rafa Nadal Tennis offers single- and multiplayer gameplay with a variety of match and location options. Players begin by learning how to maneuver the stylus as a tennis racket at "Tennis School." For a more traditional approach, gamers can opt to play with the classic control pad and buttons. When entering the "Career" mode, players may choose to play as Rafa Nadal or they can create their own character by selecting from such options as looks and attributes. <br><br>A player created character begins with all five performance abilities set at zero. Only through gameplay can players earn the credits needed to increase a gamer's serve, forehand, backhand, smash, and speed. Money earned from matches can be spent on new equipment or a partner for Doubles play. Up to four players can compete on teams in a Doubles match by using just one game. However, if all four gamers use a copy of Rafa Nadal Tennis, they are presented with additional choices for court type and characters.
