Seller Notes: “Fairly good condition, but this is a vintage item, probably over half a century old, and it does ... “Fairly good condition, but this is a vintage item, probably over half a century old, and it does NOT look brand new.The leather is a nice colour, but there are scuffs, particularly at the edges, and some surface marks.The box has kept its shape well, and there is no major damage.The stitches holding the rim of the lid together have worn away at one of the back corners, leaving the rim a bit loose, and this has led to wear on the lower edge of the rim.A minor repair to the back corner should stop this becoming any worse.The inner drum is in good condition, and the lid is well padded.Some of the stitching of the lid has worn away.The strap is broken, and part of it is missing.You will probably wish to have the strap replaced.The leather-covered buckle is in good condition.The box does shut without the strap - so it would not really matter if you are using the box at home.But for travelling, the strap is needed to make sure the box doesn't come open.”
