The remote doesn't work either, perhaps the CR 2025 battery, which had its plastic protector in place when received, but I won't use the remote anyway. I'll get a different one from elsewhere for my mother-in-law for Mother's Day so she doesn't have to feel the stickiness, keep this one for myself. So, a little disappointing.
