Extremely well packed. Everything intact when I opened it. And the mystery expanded nicely when I took the movement out. It has an Ansonia gong, but the movement is Philipp Haas & Sohne, German. So far it is not clear after searching on NAWCC whether PH & S made movements or bought American movements for their clocks. But P H & S clocks, if that is what this is, are rare in the US. It runs well but is so out of beat, that I will have to bend the crutch. No big deal. Time for a stand.
