It is strong enough for all my usual patterns. I do not use 8/0 with deer hair or Elk Hair patterns. I like a slightly stronger thread. Sometimes I use actual fishing line. Some of the Shimano specialist hook length material is incredibly strong for the diameter. Have to make sure not to cut the hair as you pull on the line. This stuff is really lovely for trour fl

I really like the colour which is easily modified using a Sharpie and some alcohol on a tissue to spread it thinner. This can give 1,001 colours for tying the different stages of the flies body. I have to admit to getting more persnickity as time goes on. I had wished it would be otherwise. I have been tying trout flies for 60 years now and I really enjoy the hobby more as time goes on. an absolute bargain.
