It works as weights but the surface is not flat enough, and the cooper cover looks thin and venerable. Besides I don't think it really comes from Qing Dynasty due to its weld nature, thus the price doesn't fit it. Won't buy one more thing from this seller.

The amount of silver doesn't fit the price (if I knew its weight I won't buy it). However it is indeed a working pen-holder with a good nib.
