The gilding is nearly intact, but for a small patch on the sugar spoon, as I can see. The gilding can be easily polished up to a high shine - if done carefully and with a lighter polish (not silvo, a gentler one). But as we know, gilding is often thin, so I did not want to polish it, if it had to be done again, and just wear more. They are in their original box, which is in remarkable condition, with a well-functioning push-button mechanism. Very unusual to find. Please see pictures.”
