These tubes are expensive for not being NOS. It was just over $100/tube for a matched quad. The tubes perform just fine, but not as well made as in the old days. Some oligarch in Russia bought the rights to Tung Sol. Basically, if you're an audiophile and you wanna live on Tube St, you gotta be willing pay the price.
