This product will not pass an acceptable signal over 200 feet of either Cat 5e or Cat 6 Ethernet cable. 50 feet is about the best it will do. This a bargain basement quality product which is the reason it sells for such a low price. It would be better to pay a bit more to get a better quality product.

I was overly generous in saying this extender would work only up to 50 feet. It won't work with as little as 25 feet of Ethernet cable. About 10 feet is the maximum length. Had to return this item to the seller for a refund. The quality of this item is terrible.
