The glass is free of scratches fungus separation and other optical defects aside from a very small nick in the rear element (see photos) that will not affect the image quality. This is a coated lens. The soft focus mechanism was stuck so I sent the lens to SK Grimes who replaced/remachined the soft focus device. Both the soft focus and aperture move very smoothly and with great ease. SKgrimes also added some high quality handles for the soft focus device.”
